February 2015: Maintaining MARC services is an important asset to the local economy and quality of life, while reducing commuter traffic on local roads. There is interest in excursion train services that would allow day trips for tourists visiting Jefferson County and would allow residents of the County day trips to the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area, including weekends.
